Privacy

This site belongs to Hazel Sage, an author. It exists to tell you about books and, if you choose, to send you a newsletter. That's the whole business model. Here is exactly what happens with your information.

What we collect, and when

Nothing, by default. You can read every page of this site without creating an account or accepting any tracking cookies.

If you join The Ghost Letters (our newsletter), we collect your first name and email address. They are stored by MailerLite, our newsletter service, and used only to send you the emails you signed up for — the free story, book news, and release announcements. Signup is double opt-in: nothing is sent until you confirm from your inbox.

If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, and message so we can reply. The form is delivered via Web3Forms and protected from bots by Cloudflare Turnstile.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-first: no cookies, no fingerprinting, no tracking you across other sites. It tells us page counts, not who you are.

What we never do

  • Sell, rent, or share your email address with anyone.
  • Send you anything you didn't sign up for.
  • Use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your choices

Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing removes you from the list. To have your data deleted entirely — from the newsletter list or our contact inbox — email [email protected] and it will be done.

Third-party services

The services above have their own privacy policies: MailerLite, Cloudflare (hosting, analytics, and Turnstile), and Web3Forms (contact form delivery).
